Colin O’Mara Davis is an all-in-one creative machine – director, producer, editor, art director, stylist, writer, decor expert and anything else you’d like him to be. His passions include exploding brains, pixel-whispering and sensing trends before anyone realizes they are phenomenons. “Job Description? Imagination Architect. It’s hard to explain and sounds super poncy, but basically it means to dream something up and finding ways to build it.”
Steve Marais is an internationally published fashion photographer who weaves his vibrant personality through his work. Since the start of his career Steve has gathered a global online following and has emerged as one of the most exciting young voices in South African fashion. Steve’s photographic style ranges from editorial to character portraiture. He often tries to find “something more” when creating an image, something that’s real and makes sense in the moment. Inspired by emotion, attitude and feeling, he takes pride in having hands-on creative direction. By creating bizarre story scenarios subjects have to work through or act out, Steve manages to capture what comes naturally in the moment, and that adds to the realness of his work. Recently Steve has moved towards the world of moving image. He is filming and directing pieces for his clients, musicians and editorial partners.
Jess is a conceptual fashion and advertising stylist and fashion show producer with the added skill of Art Direction. She has an impeccable sense of style and an outstanding ability to identify the latest fashion and decor trends. In addition to this, she is distinctly decisive and has a virtually endless list of suppliers. Her favourite word is “amazing!”
After a successful graduate collection at South Africa’s foremost fashion school LISOF, designer Jessica Rayne decided to further her studies with a year at London’s Central St Martins. She returned to South Africa with a fresh and unique approach to fashion and sustainability. Her ever-growing concern towards reconstruction and vintage has given life to Rayne, one of South Africa’s best clothing brands. Jessica is also a very talented stylist, producing incredible trend forward shoots that have been featured globally.
elli has been fortunate enough to have worked alongside some of SA’s most influential brands and collaborated in inspirational projects across various media and in many forms. She enjoys the creative challenges with each job and meeting fantastic people along the way. Her love of art and quest for self-improvement means she is always striving to be better than the day before. Kelli also believes that her work, and the success thereof, is very much a sum of all parts – the people, the details, the ideas and the great vibes.
Melissa is a freelance stylist, writer of fashion, beauty and lifestyle, and above all a creative curator. She strives to play with unlikely elements while capturing seasonal as well as social trends. She is passionate about creating or sourcing interesting backdrops, props and accessories to add a unique dimension to her work
Tim is a full time professional photographer specialising in fashion work. He is passionate about creating images that make a lasting impression, and feels privileged to be able to shoot every day of his life. “There is too much beauty to quit.”
Born in the South of France, Nadege Hajee-Sanz grew up with a passion to be a photographer. At an early age she learnt about developing and exhibited her first collection of black and white portraits. Sanz’s signature photography is expressive of her style through unique moments with a touch of natural sophistication and a hint of elegance and femininity. Mood and texture are two major aspects in Sanz’s eye as she enjoys shooting in amazing locations and their beautiful surroundings.
Nicky was introduced to the fashion industry as a model in the late nineties. Modelling took her to Italy where she took root for several years where she simultaneously fell in love with styling. She’s had the pleasure of having worked with such illustrious names as Crispian Plunkett, Caroline McClelland, Hendrik Nennecke, for clients such as Nintendo, Coca Cola, Nivea, Motorola, Adidas.
Sivan Miller started shooting about five years ago when his mother bought him his first digital compact camera overseas. Now the Cape Town based photographer is shooting professionally, and making his way up the industry latter: “- My plans for the future are to break into the fashion / commercial industry and one day shoot for Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, etc. I would also love to shoot big campaigns.” He’s inspired by the works of Annie Leibowitz, Mario Testino and a few international photographers from around the world, but he also draws inspiration from life and the world around us: “- I love the idea of taking what seems to be dull and boring to the average person and transforming it into a whole world filled with color and imagination.””
Marlinette is a free-lance Make-up artist and Hairstylist based in Cape Town and has always been a creative soul. After discovering the hair and makeup industry it became her passion. Despite being driven and professional, she is friendly and down-to-earth. Her easy going manner makes her a pleasure to work with. Having a wide range of experience – from retail and ramp work through to commercials and stills – she has a diverse and practical skill set. Marlinette is keen to push boundaries and explore the world of make-up and hair.
